Walk in plant nursery

The weather has been awful. A couple weeks ago it was nice and warm so I took out my summer clothes and as soon as I did that - Boom! it's started to rain and the weather has been wet and cold ever since that I have to put on my winter clothes again. A few days ago, the sun came out but it was so windy and the wind was piercingly cold. I decided to take Soba out to look around the nearby nursery as I think he was getting bored at home.

I would recommend it to anyone if you feel a bit bored and the weather isn't allowed you to go out for a walk and if you happen to have a nursery near to your house. It's so therapeutic. I think I am lucky because I don't have to drive very far - about 5 miles which takes me less than 10 minutes drive.  Lovely flowers and plants at Edgefield Nurseries

Just have to say, it's a nursery not a garden centre so there is no coffee shop or gift shop like garden centres have but it's still very nice to just go, looking at flowers and just to change scenery.

You don't need to buy anything - you can just have a browse. Nurseries sometimes have a farm produced shop - like eggs, vegetables and just that. Not necessarily cheaper than supermarkets but supposed to be fresher.

With Soba (my cat) in his rucksack we got out of the car into the cold wind but as soon as we got inside the polytunnel it was surprisingly lovely and warm.

And with these lovely flowers I felt so cosy and comfortable I wanted to go to sleep. I thought if I could have a chair or a hammock I could really just go to sleep.

I couldn't help but thinking that staff working in nursery must be people who are content and chill. How nice to be able to work with plants, flowers !

It was a nice walk in a windy cold afternoon, alternatively choice to going for a walk in the woods because it was warm and still very close to nature!

We spent almost half an hour there. It's a big nursery and it has many polytunnels to poke about. And even you don't plan to buy any plants or flowers but just to have a browse at them was so inspiring and therapeutic. It does make your heartbeat becomes slower and softer 😅 Please check out the video at the link here Lovely flowers and plants at Edgefield Nurseries
