Walk # 2 Circular walk from Spout Hills, Holt via Letheringsett

First of all, it's a long walk - it's probably the longest walk Snoopy and I have done this year.

We started of from Spout Hills in Holt and through the beautiful old woods where the path is an old railway line

We usually walk through the woods and turn around once the woods ended. It takes about 20 minutes. But you can keep going after that, there is a little gate way into the open and a public footpath through the field.

We went in the early autumn and it was very nice as the trees had just started to change the colour but every thing was still alive and the grass was still green.

I particular love that time of the year when autumn is approaching but summer is still lingering. The scenery seems soft and dreamy.

We walked through filed after field until we came to the edge of Letheringsett. We walked without any break - only to stop taking photographs and video. And oh, there is WiFi all the way which is comforting so you can listen to the music or having a chat with a friend on Messenger whilst walking.

Once we entered the village we had to go over the bridge over a ford - Snoopy had a drink then.
To be honest, I was really worn out then but we still had a long way to go before we could get back to the car. That included walking through the village where there are so many beautiful houses until you get to the main road. Walk along the main road (Snoopy had to be on lead) which has a nice foot path but the cars tend to go very fast.

There is a pub called The Kings Head where you can get something to eat or some refreshment or both. It's a very nice pub with lovely food and lovely big garden - dogs are welcome. Also there is Letheringsett Mill coffee shop for light meal, snacks and coffee.

By the way, the clock on the mill is accurate, believe it or not! Once you are at the Mill you are not very far from Spout Hills - probably another 10 to 15 minutes although it feels longer. All in all, I don't know how many miles we walked that day but it took us about over 2 hours.

To be honest, I was exhausted and as soon as I got home I was almost collapsed. My 11 year old dog, on the other hand, asked for an evening walk as if he had not been anywhere!😟
