Spring mood

I was looking forward to my annual leave so much I even made a list of what I wanted to be doing during the time. Surprisingly I have not done even a quarter of what on the list! and now I'm coming to the end of my annual leave.
But instead of making a list of what I haven't done. I'm going to list what I have done
ðŸ˜ļLay in bed
ðŸ˜ļHave a long bath
ðŸ˜ļEat a lot
ðŸ˜ļWatch DVDs
ðŸ˜ļRead in bed and bath
ðŸ˜ļPlay with Soba
ðŸ˜ļTake out my summer wardrobe
ðŸ˜ļCut the lawn (though it needs cutting again)
ðŸ˜ļLong chat with friends and family on Messenger
ðŸ˜ļListen to music
I'm sure there are more but ... let's say those are not on the original TO DO list.

Last night, in bed I was adamant that I would get up early and start on the tasks on the list. Did I do it? No, of course not. And to my surprise I don't even feel guilty. So another day of lazing around, to hell with it. Pottering around I saw Mr Whippy's van went slowly pass the window and I was like, "Oh, my God!" I ran to grab my purse - I hope I could catch him - it would be my first Mr. Whippy this year. As if he heard my call - the van came around pass the road just outside my house then stopped a bit further. I quickly walked and got my first £2.5o Mr. Whippy! And you know, on a warm spring day in my summer frock with Mr Whippy in my hand - nothing can feel more summer than that. I started devouring the ice-cream as I was walking home - I couldn't even wait. And for Mr. Whippy himself, he couldn't be even more polite - he called me "Madam" I don't remember the last time anyone called me Madam here in the UK but it's actually quite nice. 😁

After I finished that delicious ice-cream I felt I should go for a walk - just to clear my conscience. I was too full and too lazy to think of anywhere interesting to go so I thought I would take Soba for a tour around the neighbourhood.
Just to say, everywhere in the countryside is beautiful at this time of the year anyway. Honestly, you don't have to go far.

And it's glorious. I just love those wild flowers - they are just natural beauty, simply beautiful.

With the sun is shining, everything looks so green, the birds are singing and these wild flowers in abundance - it's just simply glorious.

It's astonishing to see these wild flowers grow together in harmony and each of them contributing to the make up of the beautiful countryside.

It's such a pleasant walk. One thing though, it's not that warm, warm especially in the shade and I could do with a cardigan.

But this is definitely the best time of the year when the sun is out, flowers blooming, birds are singing and when I get home I still have plenty of daylight to do things around the house or in the garden (if I want to)

It's weird to think that the days are still the same 24 hours long as in the winter but in spring and summer when it gets light now until at least 20:30 I certainly don't feel I have to hurry doing things before it gets dark. I LOVE that feeling of idleness.

The thing is, I still have to light the fire early in the morning and late in the evening to get the chill out but I can now hang the washing out during the day and they are dry. Soon I will be able to leave the window open all night just hoping my kitten won't jump out and the insect won't get in. But in the meantime I'm content with what it is.

Here is the list of the wild flowers I saw today:
🌞Buttercup
🌞Silene
🌞Veronica
🌞Cow parsley
🌞Herb-robert
🌞Green Alkanet
🌞Garlic mustard
🌞Snow-in-summer
🌞Greater Celandine

I'm neither a botanist or a gardener but I've got the name of these flowers from Google's so if they are wrong then I do apologise
However, I'm quite pleased of how many wild flowers I've seen and taken photographs today 😀
