Beeston Common and Beeston Priory, Norfolk part 1

I've been meaning to visit Beeston Priory with Snoopy for a long time and it was in our bucket list this year. I don't know why we haven't done it earlier - I drive pass it all the time theoretically because it's quite hidden. It's not where you can see from the main road like Binham Priory.

This lovely priory is almost hidden, so exclusive and so very dreamy. I wouldn't have known if I didn't get a local knowledge by someone I ran into. So, I start off with parking my car in one of those free parking in Beeston Common. You can check out a short video for Beeston Common on the link below

Beeston Common, Beeston Regis, Norfolk England in April

Beeston Common is in a village called Beeston Regis. The common is where local people take their dogs for a walk - it's a very pretty not so big and surrounded by beautiful old cottages. There is a dug up pond in almost the middle of the common and a little brook runs along the side of it.

It's a gorgeous little common which has this lovely, safe and friendly atmosphere because it's just right by the main road and not so isolate like some other common.

Those old cottages are so charming - all of them look like what you would see in Country Living Magazine. It's hard to believe that there are real people live in them 😅as I'm so used to my house being so untidy - shame on me!

I walked around the common for a while because it was too gorgeous to not to. The sun was in and out but the birds were singing and I really loved the sound of the water running.

It was so peaceful - so wonderful. I had Soba in the rucksack, by the way and he enjoyed it. I didn't hear him protesting one bit.

When I finished walking around the common I made my way to the little road a local person told me to - it would lead to the priory, so I did.

At the bottom of that road, on the right is the turning to the priory. There is a proper signpost and you will definitely not get lost.

From the signpost you will see the priory in the distance. As it's early spring, the old ruined stands out behind those bare branch trees. When I first saw it - I grasped. It looked like something out of a fairy tale illustration.

It looked so wildly romantic and sweet. I know the place was a monastery not a Rapunzel castle but it still has that romantic, dreamy feel about it, especially when it is behind that pond.

oh, and if you come to visit, I hope you find the receptionist to the priory - this brown horsey is the friendliest, loveliest and sweetest horse in the world. He or she came closest to the fence as possible just to greet me. He let me touch his nose and it was so soft - so very velvety soft.

Life must be kind to him for he is so gentle and kind which I'm very glad. All animals should be like him. And even though how lovely you think he is, you must not feed him. There is a warning sign not to feed the horse.

I spent a long while with him because he kept following me as if he didn't have enough fuss. The white and brown one though completely ignored me and appeared to be quite snooty 😅

Once you get pass the horses - then you are on the way to the priory 😇
