Walk # 4 turn right by the gate

Having lived here for 6 years, I thought it was time to go for a walk on the other side of the village. Just a reminder of how small the village is but still it was a nice walk.

As I turned right from the front gate - passed the green I would get to where the village really is. Majority of houses - really nice ones, the village pub, the church and the village hall are that way.

Someone has put these signs on a telegraph pole outside the village hall. Obviously, it's a joke - there are no crocodiles, Koala bears or kangaroos here 😆

In a way, it's an easier walk than the other way because the road is straight and there is a proper verge - the council has just cut the grass. Surprisingly, it's less traffic.

Kept walking and we got to the old railway bridge. I've always had a nostalgic feeling about the old railway line - I don't know why.

Someone has craved the word IN MEM on the wall - I think it says IN MEM anyway.

I find myself going for a walk along this route more often - especially on a nice day. Snoopy seems to enjoy it too.

We seem to have many fords around here - something I try to avoid after heavy rain. I just don't want my car to be half drown in the water.  Walking is fine as you can see the little well-maintained foot bridge in the photo.

The level of water can come up quite high but -- touch wood -- we've never had any major flood around here.  I think my village ends at this bridge. To think about it - it's a tiny little village in a small county in a tiny little island. -- well, I hope that paints a right picture. 😅 By the way, Small but interesting -- is England, United Kingdom -- 💖
