Blakeney High Street
The whole of Blakeney High Street is lined with beautiful old and interesting cottages. It's very well kept and just so so pretty. I can't help but imagine I lived in one of them - any one - they are all very nice and cosy - I can't decide which to pick.
Each cottage has cute and interesting name too. It's quite amusing to read and imagine who have lived in them. They are very old and I'm sure full of stories.
I haven't taken many photographs of the High Street actually which is a shame. These photographs I'm putting on here, they don't do the justice to the place so you must visit and be the judge yourself 😁Only one thing, you must not wish to change anything - I love this place the way it is. Snoopy in Blakeney High Street, North Norfolk
If you don't live in Norfolk then you are likely to be staying in a B&B which means you are likely to be staying in one of these lovely cottages.
In the summer, these little seaside villages are packed with holiday makers and you would be lucky to book one. But the winter is an opportunity to do so and I believe it's slightly cheaper.
Towards the end of the High Street, there are a few souvenir and craft shops you can browse at. I believe they only sell products from the locals. Nothing too commercial.
I think there are two art galleries, one on the high street and another near to the quay. They have artwork from local artists. As a matter of fact, North Norfolk is the place where artists and writers love to come to live. I suppose as it's such an inspiring place.
Then there are a few lovely restaurants - where you can have a romantic supper. |I walked pass and looked through the windows ...
...oh my God! it looks so nice and cosy. Imagine that it's cold and windy outside. It's dark and it's a Friday evening in the winter and near to Christmas. These restaurants look so inviting and cosy.
I would've gone in and sit down, order something like Broccoli and stilton soup for starter and Moules mariniere for main course because those are my favourite and I don't eat meat at the moment.
But it's only 4 o'clock and I have Snoopy with me. But they probably don't mind dogs. Ah well, it's also nice to come home and cook. I've just been shopping yesterday so I have plenty of food in the fridge.
I don't know what it is - I found it attached to the wall. Perhaps it's a Thermometer?
Of course, this is Royal mail post box, have you posted your Christmas cards yet?
