Summer clouds and me

When I was little I had this little book with lovely coloured illustration on types of clouds - I remember I was very impressed by their pretty names.  Summer clouds must be my most favourite type of cloud - I don't really know its scientific name - could be cumulus

Anyway, when I took Snoopy for a walk this afternoon I noticed that the clouds looked particularly lovely and cheerful. Yes, for me clouds could look sad - like clouds on a grey day and rain clouds could look scary. But these summer ones look so cheerful and you know I could just lay down and watch them floating by all day - so mesmerizing.

When I was little I used to sit watching clouds for a long time until my mum told me I would go barmy. I don't know where she got that idea from. Apparently, watching clouds and the sky has a lot of benefits - according to my own search on Google's - it helps with mindfulness and relaxation, connection with nature, stress relief, creativity and imagination. There you go, thank goodness, I didn't believe her 😝

Having said that I've decided to spend an hour in my sunbed watching clouds in my back garden on my next day off. I mean I could do it more than an hour if I wish, now that I know I won't go crazy 😊- but I suppose - as a grown up I tend to have lots to do on my day off - unfortunately. Well, see how it goes.....
