Sleepless in Norfolk

It's nearly midnight and I'm still awake! It's not unusual and again it is. I've been working for three days on the trot and at the end of the afternoon I was exhausted I was so looking forward to going to bed. Now, I'm in bed but I can't sleep. It must have something to do with my taking an evening nap on the couch. Anyway, I'm not so concerned about it and that is one in many good things about being single. I can do whatever I want so I went to the kitchen and made myself a cup of matcha latte.

I have oat milk with my matcha -unsweetened oat milk - it's super! Then, my dog wanted to go out. So I let him out and thanks to my solar powered LED lights I bought a few weeks ago my back garden isn't pitch dark anymore. It's actually nice and much less spooky (i'm joking - it's not really spooky ) Snoopy doesn't like going out in the garden on his own. He will go to the bottom of the garden only when he is desperate. Usually, he will look at me invitingly to accompany him and with those lights I quite like going out in the garden at night more than I did when it was completely dark.

We had some rain earlier during the day - so the night air wasn't particularly warm. The sky was a little cloudy but stars were out through those clouds even, tonight sky was not dark, dark like in the winter. When we went out we saw the neighbour's cat was looking at us through his bedroom window which was wide opened. He was so curious - he kept watching us - nosey little thing -it was funny and very cute. I'm very fond of cats but this ginger cat now and again comes to disturb the birds who come to eat nuts from my bird feeder so he is a bit of a rat bag.

In the above photograph, you will see the cat's eyes reflect the flash light and appear like two red dots! that's so funny. I suppose his owner hasn't gone to bed either. My neighbour next door on the other side who I share the wall with has gone to sleep over at her boyfriend's - YES she has a boyfriend! So I have the house all by myself I can hoover the floor, turn on the washing machine, play music very loud or run a bath, flush the loo - I don't have to worry about waking her up - yay!. So, I think I'm going to have a bath - I feel sticky again and I know after having a bath I will be sleeping like a baby. By the way, Snoopy had a haircut on Friday. He looks so posh and more like a Pointer than a Spaniel!
