Simple wayside flowers

Took Snoopy for a walk in Spout Hills this afternoon. Shame that the weather had turned funny and not really sunny. Spout hills would be gorgeous on a hot sunny day. But I have a video I made last year when it was a perfect day to visit the place. สนู๊ปปี้กับฉันไปเยือนสเปาท์ ฮิลล์: Snoopy and I go to Spout Hills

All the same, it was nice to be out and about - taking simple pleasure in nature.
To be honest, it doesn't take a lot  (to be continued...)
to be happy, at least for me. I was content, watching Snoopy enjoy himself sniffing around the place and jumping in the stream. These wayside flowers are

simple yet engaging - nothing is too bold, too extravagant. It's all I need in life, really - a simple, meaningful life - like these simple flowers. Actually, it's reminded me of the book I've been reading "A hermit in the Himalays by Paul Brunton. I know I've been reading this book forever but I read it rather slowly because it requires some quiet moment and the thinking mind 😅The writer was saying about should us be like the sun. It's annoying because I tried to look for that bit in the book but I couldn't find it - so I can't quote it word for word here. But as my understanding, he was saying that the sun does his duty simply being the sun.
I love that book - I only have two chapters left to finish but I feel like it's worth re-reading so that I can take notes, highlight it and analyse it on the second time around. Well, it will be my future project. In the meantime, I'm so grateful and thankful for everything - especially for these humble wayside flowers for being just simple flowers the way they are. 💕💗
