Cliff walk in Weybourne ทางเดินริมผาที่เวย์บอร์น

I'm on annual leave for a couple of days for decluttering my mind - giving myself a break from work. I usually stay at home - trying to get my quality of life back. One of them was to take my Snoopy for a long, interesting walk. Weybourne is our favourite beach/cliff walk. ลาพักร้อนสองวันเพื่อจะได้เคลียร์สมองพักผ่อนจากการทำงาน โดยปกติก็จะอยู่บ้าน ใช้ชีวิตให้มีคุณภาพ หนึ่งในนั้นก็คือพาสนู๊ปปี้ไปเดินเล่นนานๆ ในที่ที่เราไม่ได้ไปทุกวัน เวย์บอร์นเป็นหมู่บ้านชายทะเลเล็กๆ ที่น่ารักมากๆ และเป็นที่โปรดเลยล่ะ กดลิงค์ข้างล่างเพื่อดูวิดีโอที่ทำไว้เมื่อสองปีที่แล้วนะคะ

An old pillbox and Weybourne windmill

In the picture, you will see the old pillbox used in the Second World War. I've always been fascinated by them. They are dotted all over English countryside reminded me of the old time and when the home guard sitting inside them agitated for an invasion - like we see in Dad's Army. For me, the Second World War is just a history - we usually say, "is it pre-war or post-war?" which means something old or older kind of retro. Now, if I happen to hear the news on radio or read news on the internet by accident I will see that British media blabbing on about the Third World War/ the Nuclear war as if it was something to encourage it to happen. I'm not trying to be an ostrich, burying my head in the sand here. I'm well aware of the tension even though I don't consume news on social media. But I don't agree with war mongering or fear mongering either. We should talk more of peace instead of war. ในภาพก็จะเห็นาสิ่งก่อสร้างที่ใช้ในช่วงสงครามโลกครั้งที่สอง เขาเรียกกันว่ากล่องยา เป็นได้ว่าหน้าตามันเหมือนกล่องยา ก็คือเขาให้โฮมการ์ด คือพวกผู้ชายที่แก่เกินกว่าจะไปเป็นทหารมาคอยนั่งเฝ้าอยู่ในนั้นกันข้าศึกมาโจมตึ มันก็เลยมีกล่องยานี่อยู่ทั่วๆ ไปในชนบทอังกฤษ มันก็ทิ้งร้างสึกกร่อนไปตามกาลเวลา แต่เราเห็นทีไรก็อดนึกสะท้อนใจไม่ได้ เพราะแม้ว่าสงครามโลกครั้งที่สองสำหรับเรามันเป็นเพียงประวัติศาสตร์ แต่มันก็เป็นความจริงที่คนรุ่นหนึ่งเผชิญมา และแม้ว่าตอนนี้เราจะเอามาเล่ากันฟังได้อย่างเป็นเรื่องโจ๊คๆ แต่จริงๆ มันไม่ใช่เรื่องขบขันเลยนะ 

เนื่องจากตัวเองเป็นคนไม่ดูข่าวฟังข่าว ไม่ติดตามโซเชี่ยลมีเดียอะไรทั้งสิ้น นานๆ มันก็หลุดมาเข้าตามเข้าหูซะที แล้วข่าวอะไรพวกนี้ก็ไมีมีอะไรน่าอภิรมย์เลย ใช่ว่าจะทำตัวเป็นโลกสวย มุดหัวอยู่ในกะลาแต่ว่ารู้เรื่องพวกนี้ เสพย์เข้าไปมากๆ แล้วมีประโยชน์อะไรเหรอ นอกจากเครียด เราก็แค่รับรู้ไว้บ้่างแล้วก็ใช้ชีวิตของเราให้ดีที่สุด ไอ้พวกสื่อที่เอาสงครามอะไรมาพูดพล่อยๆ เหมือนจะยั่วยุให้มันเกิดนี่มันทุเรศจริงๆ คนเราควรจะพูดกันถึงเรื่องความสงบสุข หรือแก้ปัญหามากกว่าจะมาพูดถึงสงคราม

Anyway, get back to our lovely walk in Weybourne. It was typical that as soon as we got there - it clouded over. It was still pleasantly nice and warm though - only no sun. We should've come earlier but ideally we should get here after 18:00 as the carpark would be free. We got here at 19:00ish

มาว่ากันถึงเรื่องไปเดินเล่นที่เวย์บอร์นกันต่อว่า ก็พอไปถึงแดดมันก็หุบพอดี คือถ้าไปถึงหกโมงเย็นก็จะพอดีเลย เพราะหลังหกโมงเย็นเขาให้จอดรถได้ฟรี แต่นี่เราไปถึงทุ่มกว่าๆ ซึ่งก็ไม่สายนะคะ ช่วงนี้สว่างไปจนถึงสี่ทุ่ม แต่พอดีเมฆมันมา อากาศก็ยังอุ่นสบายอยู่ 

I love this place so much - I wish it never changes. In fact, the whole of Norfolk and England and the UK. I love this English Country Charm so much. I love this simple way of living so much - going for a walk with your dogs (or no dogs), have a picnic, going fishing or just simply mooning about. Thanks to the men who once sat in that pillbox trying to keep this country safe. As a consequence it remains to be safe and peaceful. I’m so so so grateful. I wish it will never change. 

จะบอกว่าชีวิตเรียบๆ ง่ายๆ ของชนบทอังกฤษเนี่ยมันเป็นอะไรที่เราชอบมากๆๆๆ มันเป็นอะไรที่ดีงามที่สุด การได้ไปเดินเล่นกับหมา หรือคนเดียวกับธรรมชาติ ไม่ก็ไปนั่งปิคนิคกินอะไรเล็กๆ ไม่ก็ตกปลา ไม่ก็เดินไปเดินมาฝันเฟื้องไปเรื่อยเปื่อย หรือจะเดินทำสมาธิ เดินสวดมนต์ เดินจงกลมอะไรก็ว่าไป มันเป็นอะไรที่ดีงามมากๆๆ ไม่ต้องเสียเงิน ไม่ต้องวุ่นวาย ที่สำคัญคือมันปลอดภัย ถึงจะไม่ร้อยเปอร์เซ็นต์แต่ก็ถือว่าโอเค เราหวังว่าชนบทอังกฤษจะเป็นอย่างนี้ตลอดไป จะไม่เปลี่ยนไปเป็นอย่างที่อื่น (คือมันก็มีข่าวไม่ได้ให้ได้ยินกันออกบ่อยๆ เราจะยอมรับว่ามันก็อย่างงี้แหละ มันก็...เอ จะไม่ทำอะไรให้อะไรมันดีขึ้นเลยเหรอ)

As usual, Snoopy and I love going for a walk along the cliff - the air was littered with yellow cabbage butterflies! They are small and flittering I really couldn't capture them but they made it so magical, fairy tale liked - the way they fluttered out of nowhere then filled the air around with their wings. There were a lot of ladybirds as well. โดยปกติเรากะสนู๊ปปี้ชอบไปเดินเล่นบนทางริมหน้าผา คือมันมีทางเดินเรียบทะเลก็ได้ แต่เราชอบเดินริมผา ช่วงนี้มีผีเสื้อกะหลำปลีบินกันว่อน มันเป็นผีเสิ้อตัวเล็กๆ สีเหลืองๆ แล้วมันเกาะอยู่ตามยอดหญ้า พอเราเดินมันก็กระพือปีกกันว่อนเหมือนในเทพนิยายเลย นอกจากนั้นก็ยังมีแมลงเตาทองเยอะมาก

I don't think it was a great day for photographs taking, they come out look all gloomy. To be honest, the place looked much more cheerful than in the photos. I must go back and take some nicer ones - as these don't do Weybourne justice. วันแดดหุบนี่ถ่ายภาพออกมาก็ไม่ได้เรื่อง มันดูหดหู่ซึ่งจริงๆ แล้วไม่เลยนะ เห็นท่าจะต้องกลับไปวันที่อากาศดีกว่านี้ เพราะดูเหมือนว่าภาพมันออกมากแย่มากๆ 

There's something nostalgic about windmills 

I found these lovely frilly, soft yellow flowers. I don't know what it is but it's so pretty. It's soft like sponge to touch and smell divine too. พบดอกไม้สีเหลืองเป็นช่อนิ่มๆ นุ่มๆ จับไปเหมือนฟองน้ำเลย กลิ่นก็ห้อมหอม ไม่รู้เหมือนกันว่ามีชื่อแซ่เรียงนามว่ากระไร

It's 10:40 in the morning and my last day of the annual leave - I'm going to start my day and be productive. I'm planning to finish my gardening, clean the car on top of daily housework then take Snoopy for an interesting walk. I hope I can achieve all these without too much of a hassle. 
I also want to add that - whoever you are, whatever you are doing, wherever you live, I wish you all peace and unity, no matter how chaotic and miserable it seems - I hope you find your inner peace.  ตอนนี้ก็เป็นเวลาเกือบสิบเอ็ดโมงเช้าแล้วนะคะ และก็เป็นวันสุดท้ายของวันพักร้อน ดังนั้นคงจะเริ่มไปทำกิจกรรมส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตซะที นั่นก็คือเคลียร์สวนให้เสร็จ ล้างรถ เก็บกวาดเช็ดถูบ้าน ซักผ้า เก็บผ้า พาสนู๊ปปี้ไปเดินเล่น 

สุดท้ายนี้ ขออวยพรให้ทุกคนไม่ว่าจะอยู่ที่ไหน ทำอะไร เป็นใครก็แล้วแต่ ให้มีความสงบสุขร่มเย็น ไม่ว่าชีวิตอาจจะดูเหมือนทุกข์ยากสับสนก็ขอให้หาวิถีทางพบกับความผาสุขภายในของตัวเองนะคะ
