List of things to do on your own (or with a dog)

Yes, when I said I lived alone, I meant without any other human being. I'm not alone, alone as such - I live with a dog so there are things I can do with him - like going for a walk, watching DVDs although he only sits next to me and sleeps. All the same, I'm going to make a list of things I do on my own as many as I can gather.

🌷Journaling - yes I journal as much as I can. I have been doing it since I was little. My aunt gave me a diary and I remember that my handwriting was so huge I could only write "Today I watched a programme called Rainbow" on an entitle page. When I was a student, my journaling was very much like I was talking to my imaginary friend - I even thought who I wrote to in the journal existed - and I sort of talked to him through the journal until I meet him one day. Nowadays, my journal is more spiritual. It's like I'm talking to my higher self. I journal a lot when I'm angry, disappointed, frustrated and lonely - sometimes I do it when I'm happy and feel grateful. I have been trying to have quiet mind I find that talking to my diary, most of the time is better than bothering other people.

🌷Watching DVDs - I love films! I don't have a smart TV. I only have a TV with built in DVD player. I also have a portable DVD player which I can take it to bed with me and watch a DVD in bed. I buy DVDs from variety of charity shops. Some of them as cheap as 3 for £1.50 I've been writing about my favourite films in my other blog. I sometimes watch it with a friend but not very often. I think my favourite films that really mean a lot to me are Contact and The Fountain

🌷Read - I have so many books! My favourite is children literature but I'm now reading Gabriel Garcia Marques' Love in the time of Cholera

🌷Listen to music, useful podcast and subliminal music on YouTube

🌷Cooking - I wouldn't say I love cooking as such but as no one cooks for me and I don't like takeaway foods, I
cook lovely meals for myself and I consider myself to be a good cook 😁

🌷Do my creative work - I'm trying to keep my creativity ability going so I try to be creative. I love doodling - most of the time I copy what I doodle. I draw and I like mix media artwork.

🌷Exercise - I try to do some exercise everyday 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening. some day I'm too tired to do it then I don't.

🌷Blogging - yes, blogging 😁

🌷Talk to my family and friends on FaceTime - Sadly, my family and childhood/university friends live in a different country. I also have friends in the UK but most of them have family or in a relationship. I attend reading club once a week.

🌷Gardening - I have a garden. Sadly I don't like gardening but I try to do some gardening 15 minutes a day. I cut the lawn today so that took more than 15 minutes 😆

🌷Writing - I'm trying to be a novelist

🌷Go for a walk with Snoopy - when you have a dog you have to take him for a walk everyday. I love walking with my dog. Walking is healthy and spiritually good for you.

🌷Tidy the house - I don't enjoy it but I have to say I get a lot of pleasure out of its end result. I love it when my house is nice and tidy.

🌷Go to town - look around shops and charity shops. I don't say shopping because I don't like shopping. I like browsing. I'm a minimalist so I don't really want anything but perhaps buy second hand DVDs or books from the charity shops

🌷Have a long, hot bath - so lush. I love it. Well, some people have a shower but on a bad day or a day you want to pamper yourself then you can make a bath a ritual by light some candles and put some nice, relaxing music or watch DVDs or read in the bath and use your special soap.

🌷SLEEP - I love sleeping. SLEEP is the best! At the end of a long working day, no matter it has been a good day, average day or bad day - sleep is the best reward. The best thing I feel I can do for myself is to go to bed early and sleep for 10 hours 😁

I think there are more I should put on the list but I can't think of them at the moment. Let's say enough for now.

In addition, if you are doing pros and cons and come up with a conclusion that you are better off being single or for whatever reason it is that you are single right now. I will say, you will have some days that you wish you were not - call it a blue day, what you have to do is, try to choose and do a few things that you like to do or from what you have on your own list of things to do. It is also okay to have a blue day and being lonely and miserable. Have a long hot bath, watch a DVD, stay in your pyjamas and order a takeaway or even have a good cry. The best thing is fluff up your bed and have a good sleep - you will fine again when you wake up.  I have done all that 😁
