Back to Bangkok กลับมากรุงเทพฯ

Having lived in Norfolk countryside, it could be New York but actually this is Bangkok where I was born. I have not been back for over 10 years and now I can't hardly recognise it! Although it's changed so much materialistically, it still has the same relaxed feel perhaps it's because the people. Thai people are so chill - there is something so hospitable about them.  มาจากชนบทในนอร์ฟอร์ค ภาพนี้เหมือนนิวยอร์คไม่มีผิด แต่นี่คือกรุงเทพฯ บ้านเกิดของฉัน ไม่ได้กลับมาประมาณสิบปี แทบจะจำไมได้ มันเปลี่ยนไปมาก แต่ก็

ยังให้ความรู้สึกผ่อนคลาย อาจจะเป็นเพราะผู้คน คนไทยใจเย็นและเป็นมิตรเหมือนเดิม 

 

Visiting Bangkok this time, my main transport is by boats! Chaophraya Express to the old city where I then take sky train or underground to inner city. 

กลับมาเยียมกรุงเทพฯหนนี้ ฉันใช้บริการเรือด่วนเจ้าพระยาเป็นหลัก เพราะบ้านอยู่ไม่ไกลจากท่าเรือ ไปลงที่เขตเมืองเก่าแล้วถึงนั่งรถไฟไปยังส่วนในของกรุงเทพฯ

The weather in January isn't too hot. It feels like mid summer in England. อากาศในเดือนมกราคมไม่ร้อนจนเกินไป เหมือนหน้าร้อนในอังกฤษ 

Chaophraya Express is great - I really love it. Boat leaves every half an hour and it doesn't cost a lot. There is no traffic - it's very relaxing and I enjoy the sceneries. เรือด่วนเจ้าพระยาออกจากท่าทุกๆ ครึ่งชั่วโมง ไม่มีรถติดนั่งไปสบายสบาย และวิวสองข้างทางก็สวยด้วย

Also, it's quite affordable - only costs me 21 baht 

to travel from Nonthaburi pier to Temple of Dawn or Ta Tien Pier and it takes about an hour.

ค่าโดยสารก็ไม่แพงด้วย ขี้นจากท่าน้ำนนท์ไปท่าเตียนราคายี่สิบเอ็ดบาท และใช้เวลาประมาณหนึ่งชั่วโมง

Each pier has been under new construction and it looks much safer than when I lived there a long long time ago.

ท่าเรือแต่ละท่าก็ทำใหม่หมด ดูปลอดภัยกว่าสมัยก่อนตอนที่ฉันเคยอยู่กรุงเทพฯ นานแสนนานมาแล้ว
