One warm day
May hasn't started off well. It's been wet and chilly so far. But today was glorious! The sun was out and warm. The cool breeze made the temperature was just perfect, not too hot and not too cold.
I think everybody seemed to be busy on the day like today. People seemed to have more energy and more active. Not only people, actually - every living thing - birds, insects, cats, dogs etc. Not many ladybirds come out so far this year as I suppose the weather hasn't been warm enough for them to hatch. If we had a sunny day, it would only last a day and it turned cold at night anyway. I think we need a long period of warm, sunny day for the ladybirds to hatch. I had spotted one ladybird yesterday. He was sunbathing on the cow parsley so I took some photographs and videoed him.
Snoopy sure loves warm weather. He loves being warm. He went out to the back garden with me when I hung out the washing and did some gardening and he looked so content. I took him out for a walk at our usual place and he met many friends. So many dog came for a walk with their owners - they all looked so happy. I wanted to take some photographs of the butterflies. But they wouldn't sit still - they kept fluttering by.
They looked so jolly and charming and carefree. They were cabbage butterflies, I think. They are small and plain, sort of white and some are pale yellow and some are pale green. I didn't manage to take any. I didn't have time to wait around. I'm sure as the weather improves and we have more of the sunny, warm weather. I will be able to take some more interesting photographs.
